These cookies are big, cakey, and really basically scones. That means you can have them for breakfast, ok? As a treat?
Cake mixes tend to be a little bland and a hint salty, so be generous with your flavoring, but I’d avoid adding more salt.
Ingredients
- One box of cake mix
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tablespoons of your given flavor choice
- Up to 3/4 cup of dry mix-ins
Combine ingredients into a bowl.
Scoop onto a cookie pan with some parchment paper on top of it.
Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.
Some favorite combos:
- Almond Extract/Pomelo Extract/Lemon
- Strawberry cake with orange flavor extract and crushed-up freeze-dried strawberries
- Orange/Almond/Chocolate
- Raid your liquor cabinet, use leftover cherry juice, whatever.
You can also make a ganache and put that on these cookies. People love white chocolate/matcha ganache. Dark chocolate/orange is also a popular combo.
